embrace® for Prevention

Developed by world-renowned scar experts from Stanford University, embrace is a one-of-a-kind device. It's the only FDA cleared technology proven to prevent scar tissue formation beneath the skin. embrace actively protects sites from scarring due to micro-trauma caused by multiple daily injections, or on-going use of wearables such as insulin pumps and CGMs.

How it works: The embrace patch actively shrinks to compress the site, reducing the body's inflammatory response. Compression minimizes fibrosis production and collagen deposits linked to scar formation and lipohypertrophy.

Contents: Each box comes with three patches, a one month supply.

How to use: Each application lasts approx. 10 days. Simple 3-step application makes embrace easy to wear. embrace is water resistant, so you can shower and exercise without needing to remove the patch. No daily steps required.

Size recommendation: embrace comes in small, medium, and large. Choose the size that completely covers the site you are treating. See exact sizes below. Here are our recommendations based on suggested rotation patterns. See rotation guides for more information.

For MDIs,

  • 2 or more injections a day, use embrace medium
  • 4 or more injections a day, use embrace large

For pumps/CGMs,

  • Use embace small for a 7 day pumpset or any CGMs
  • Use embrace medium for a 3 day pumpset or an Omnipod.

How to use

Application

embrace can be easily applied at home. Do not use on open wounds. Each dressing lasts approx. 10 days when skin is prepped properly and patch is applied per instructions (see below).

Removal

Please remove with care, according to the instructions. The medical-grade adhesive lasts, so slow gentle removal is important. We recommend removing embrace the evening prior to allow your skin to rest 6 to 8 hours between applications.
